The house was built in 1937, and it was improved in 1980, according to BC assessment. The couple purchased the property with the heavy demolition and new building construction in mind. Michael Katz proposed radical face lift instead of tearing down the whole building and allocated the demolition budget to the selection of better material. In order to save more money for the client, we decided to have rapid computer aided prototyping to finalize architectural and residential interior design decisions.
We learned how providing detailed and comprehensive documents in any architectural and interior design project can benefit the clients and eases the conversation of design and budget.
